Note:  Pre Ballet 3, Ballet 2, and Ballet 3 will be traveling
to Pennsylvania Regional Ballet the week of July 26th.


Preschool (Children’s Division 1 day):

* Students may make up classes missed due to vacation by taking extra classes in any given week, see Miss Creasy for make-up times and days.                                                                  

Summer Intensive Rules

  • All dancers must maintain a professional manner during class.  No gum chewing, no elbows on the barres, and no talking during class.
  • If you are late, you must ask permission to attend class.  If you are more than 10 minutes late, you may be asked to observe due to risk of injury.
  • Dancers must abide by the dress code at all times.
  • Dancers must use the restroom prior to class.  It is disruptive to the teacher and students to ask to leave.
  • Dancers in the daytime and evening intensives are encouraged to bring water bottles to class.
  • Students who fail to abide by the rules will be given a written warning.  Further infractions will result in dismissal from the program without a refund.

Dress Code

  • Females - Pink tights, black leotards (single straps only), pink leather ballet slippers, black oxford style tap shoes (purchased from a dance supply store). No jewelry is to be worn and hair must be in a classical bun.
  • Males - Black tights, white t-shirt, white socks, black or white leather ballet shoes.

Mission:

To promote and foster dance in the Clayton, Delaware area by presenting programs of artistic quality and thereby giving qualified dancers the opportunity to participate in such programs.

To provide opportunities to learn skills that will prepare young dancers for further studies in various forms of dance.

To provide an educational dance curriculum, that will incorporate training in dance history, music appreciation and the physiology of dance as well as opportunities for choreography.

To establish and maintain programs which benefit and encourage arts participation within the community. To involve dancers in community service and outreach programs.

Miss Lydia Creasy, Artistic Director

Mrs. Stephanie Artigliere: Pre Professional Faculty Stephanie Artigliere began her ballet training at Pennsylvania Regional Ballet in Harrisburg, PA. She attended Towson University, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance. She has studied under Susan Mann, Linda-Denise Fisher-Harrell, Stephanie Powell, and Vincent Thomas.. Stephanie joined the Ballet Theatre of Maryland where she is still studying and performing as an apprentice dancer under artistic director Dianna Cuatto.

Tuition for the 2010 Summer Course:

Preschool: $40 for the summer
Pre Ballet 1A: $45 for the summer
Pre Ballet 1: $120 for the summer
Pre Ballet 2: $280 for the evening summer intensive
(2 payments of $140 due on 4/15 and 6/1) 

Pre Ballet 3: $330 for the daytime summer intensive
(2 payments of $165 due on 4/15 and 6/1)
Ballet 2 and  3: $550 for the daytime summer intensive
(2 payments of $225 due on 4/15 and 6/1) 

Payment Schedule:                                      

For Pre Ballet 2, Pre Ballet 3, Ballet 2 and Ballet 3, 50% of the summer course fees are due on April 15th with the remaining balance due on June 1st.  A 10% late fee will be assessed for all fees not received by June 1st 2010.


All
summer course fees are due June 1st.  For dancers in Preschool, Pre Ballet 1A, and Pre Ballet 1, a $15 late fee will apply for all summer course fees not received by June 1st.


The following discounts apply if summer course payment is received in full by April 15th:                
Pre Ballet 1 & 1A and Preschool:  $5.00                       
Pre Ballet 2:  $10.00                               
Pre Ballet 3:  $30.00                               
Ballet 2 and Ballet 3: $50.00
